Certified Specialist in Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics
Dr. Polymeris obtained her Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacology and her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with Honours both from the University of Toronto. In recognition of graduating among the top 5% of her class, Dr. Polymeris was inducted into the Tau Tau Chapter of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society.
Following dental school, Dr. Polymeris completed a one-year General Practice Residency at the University of Alberta Hospital. While in Edmonton, Dr. Polymeris gained advanced training in the dental management of medically-compromised patients, as well as patients with special needs and craniofacial anomalies. Dr. Polymeris also participated in the remote areas satellite dental clinic program, where she provided dental care to the rural and underserved communities of northern Alberta.
Family ties brought Dr. Polymeris back to Ontario, where she practiced general dentistry in Pickering and Toronto for one year. Dr. Polymeris went on to complete her orthodontic specialty training and Masters of Clinical Dentistry at the University of Western Ontario, where she was awarded the Dr. Bryan Smith Graduate Award in Orthodontics for her overall performance in the program.
Dr. Polymeris is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and a member of the Ontario Association of Orthodontists, Canadian Association of Orthodontists, American Association of Orthodontists, Toronto Orthodontic Study Club, Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society, and the Asclepius Dental Society.
Dr. Polymeris is fluent in French and Greek. Outside of the office she enjoys being active, cooking, travelling, and spending time with family and good friends.
